§ 02 — About

An older hippie who finally found home.

I started in the music business in the 1970s, kept finding myself with a notebook in my hand instead of a contract, and eventually accepted what I am: a collector of stories. I founded magazines and small papers in Switzerland — Neubad Magazin in Basel, later The Loft in Space here in Newmarket — and I run civic projects that take a longer view than most newsfeeds permit.

In 2024 I became a Canadian citizen. The country I grew up imagining turned out to be the one I had quietly been looking for. wehrli media inc. is the company I incorporated in May 2026 to do this work properly: publish, observe, edit, and occasionally walk into a forest with a paintbrush and a small wooden door.
